Our mission
When fire threatens a Southern California neighborhood, homes need more than scattered alerts. Our mission is to harden the house itself—coating, vegetation clearance, and exterior sprinklers—and to keep clearly sourced fire information next to that work, so households can book protection and make good decisions early.
Why local matters
Fire behavior here is shaped by things locals know by name: Santa Ana winds, canyon corridors, hillside brush that cures all summer. A national feed can't serve that context. We focus on Los Angeles County and surrounding communities so every update and every guide is relevant to the people reading it.
Timely, clearly sourced information
Every incident update we publish identifies its source agency, when it was first reported, and when we last verified it. When we don't have verified information, we say so plainly instead of guessing. Our Sources & Methodology page explains exactly how we work.
